BAHAMAS MAMAS :)

I can't believe that after almost a year of planning it's already been 2 weeks since our "girls only" cruise to the Bahamas. It was great to spend a little bonding time together and we really enjoyed the warmth of the sun, some more than others. If we had had a sunburn contest, Lisa would have won hands down. But then, we all came home a little red. (I promised I wouldn't put the snorkeling pictures online, but I will make copies, if anyone wants to see them.) We missed Erin and Shanna, but are happy for the new babies that kept them home. We also missed AnDe, but I guess severe morning sickness is a good excuse. Congratulations!

Thanks, Trish, for coming up with the idea and Tana, for doing
all the scheduling. Lisa and Bobbi, we are so lucky to have you in the family. I would love doing something like this again when all the girls can go. Sometime moms just need a peaceful little get-away.

March Maddness

OK , so March was already the busiest month for birthdays with Keenan,
Kyle, Kalin, Tyson and Dani, then we add Tana
and Kevin's anniversary, wow, but I guess that isn't enough.
Shanna and Kyle welcomed little Isabella Marie on
March 3.
She was born the day after Kyle's birthday.
How's that for an awesome gift?
She's perfect!
She weighed 6 lbs. 2 ozs. and
was 19 1/2 inches long.
I think mom and dad
are the spoiled ones, however.
She a really good baby, but,
just wait ;) it could change a little.

After a five year break, Erin and Ty
were blessed with a beautiful baby
boy. Wyatt Wesley was born March 30.
He weighed in at 7lbs. 6 ozs. and 19 inches.
I bet 3 big sisters couldn't wait to tell their friends!

I was so lucky to be included at the birth of both little miracles.
3 grand babies in 5 weeks. What more could I ask for.
I LOVE BEING GRAMMA!
I'm always amazed as I witness the birth of my grandchildren.
What a blessing! They are ALL
special and I love them so much.

My goal was to be a better blogger for the new year and that really hasn't happened, but even I was getting tired of the Christmas background, so I thought it was about time for a change.
First off, a big welcome to our new addition to the family. Curtis R was born Thursday morning, Feb 25. He's a real cutie. Congratulations Tyson and Kim.

Next, I had a few ask for before and after pictures of Ralph's Christmas present. I know, 5 gals of mud, 5 gals. of paint, 5 bundles of ceder and a few days of hard work isn't very romantic, but what can I say. I was told that it was a d___good thing I was HIS wife.

It has been interesting working in the old house. Under the flooring we found old Life magazines and newspapers from 1942 and 1944. War was the main topic back then. I guess things haven't changed much.
We tried to save some of them, but they are in pretty bad shape.

The finished room turned out kind'a nice, considering what we started with. We've finished one of the bedrooms now and are getting ready to start on the second. Can't wait for the before and afters on that one. I always wanted to do something like this. It has been alot of fun and hard work, but the house will really be cute when we're done.
